The Global Voices Local Results Organizing Committee, together with the Board of Critical Link Canada and the Provincial Language Service, wish to thank all of the many sponsors, participants and speakers that contributed to making the Global Voices, Local Results conference an enormous success.
We were pleased to welcome so many national and international delegates together to address the impact of globalization and the role of the community interpreter. The conference provided an opportunity to network, and to create meaningful discourse and dialogue among a high calibre group of language industry experts and language specialists.
The Global Voices, Local Results website will remain live until August 2009, at which point all conference material will be available via the Critical Link Canada website (www.criticallink.org) and the Provincial Language Service website (www.phsa.ca/pls).
Presentation documents provided to us have been uploaded onto the website and can be found via the program page by clicking on the plenary panel title, the keynote speaker name or the concurrent session link.
